On the basis of decades of experience in the engineering, supply, installation and start-up of organic coating lines, Unisons offers optimized solutions for different coating compositions, coating colors, various steel grades and varying strip dimensions. In addition to imparting an aesthetically pleasing and decorative appearance to the strip, color coatings substantially improve corrosion resistance, especially for outside use. The strictest demands for high-end applications are fully met, such as in the automotive and household appliance industries. Stainless lines from Unisons combine the traditionally separate processes of rolling, annealing and pickling, skin passing, and leveling in one integrated processing line.

Primetals Technologies’ stainless lines feature integrated rolling and processing, using additional lateral support rolls to ensure stable and controllable rolling, cleaning sections that ensure strip cleanliness prior to the annealing furnace and annealing and pickling sections using a tunnel type furnace and acid pickling.

ELECTROLYTIC CLEANING LINES – COMPACT PROCESSING LINES FOR BIG GAINS IN EFFICENCY

The electrolytic cleaning lines (ECL) supplied by Unisons enable to remove the remaining iron fines and oil residues from the tandem mill.

Advanced ECL technology provides outstanding coils cleanliness before the coils reach the downstream batch annealing furnace to obtain perfect surface cleanliness. This type of line could also be used as coil buildup line. Modules such as payoff reel, shear, welder, cleaning section, etc. are common with galvanizing lines.
